When people forget God…

…tyrants are formed and rule.

A cruel and oppressive ruler who exercises control in unreasonable and destructive ways must be defeated…always.  One of our Founding Fathers stated this and this is a quote from Patrick Henry.

And God says something about this as well

Isaiah 14: 3-6… “And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.”

Amazing how our Founding Fathers cited Scripture and knew God’s ways and means.

The Wrath of God

There has never been a time in my life, when I was more or less reasonable (and there were times in which I was not), that this never scared the bejeebers out of me knowing that God’s Wrath applies to everyone…and that included myself.  There were times in my life where I didn’t care if God was “mad” at me or not.  I have since made my confessions to God and God has richly blessed me, not in monies, but in life in general.  Naturally, God has blessed me financially – not that I’m a millionaire, because I’m not even remotely close to being one – but I pay my bills, I pay for the doctors and surgeons and I even have the “extra” funds to be able to provide health care to my animals/pets.

As I traveled about in the countries ending in “Stan” in the years fore, I always had my Holy Scriptures with me. More often than not, I had plenty of time to read. My favorite Book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes but I always return to the Book of Nahum.  Many Christians, and the alleged Christians, don’t even know that this Book of the Bible even exists.

This Book means “comfort of God”, and the verbiage is vivid and forceful – which is more than likely The Why most Christians ignore this Book because it most certainly is not politically correct; nor is it multicultural; nor does it remotely apply to identity politics.  The style of this Book is lyric poetry and of a high order.

The Book of Nahum is also a continuation from the Book of Jonah – it is a sequel to Jonah and this book is highly and most impassioned of all the prophets.

The Book of Nahum, obviously, applies to nations that have turned their backs on God – including the once glorious nation called America.  Read these words of God via Nahum after you pray first and picture our political leaders as you study these words.  I emboldened a few passages just to give a hint or two…

(Now that Donald Trump is President, don’t we see this happening now?)

Nahum 1

1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

2 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

10 For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

11 There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

12 Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

13 For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.

14 And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

May the Lord bring His peace upon you all.

An Incomplete Assessment

I found this at JPA’s web site and I suppose I am on the same channel and have been for years.

I also found many videos of Chuck Missler and many more like him here.

In this video, near the 7:30 time frame, he explains 2 Chronicles 7:14 and he hits the nail on the head and at times I think he has been reading the papers that I have written since I was 13 years old but, when we are on the same page, we are on the same page. The video is about 13 minutes long.

This is what JPA wrote and I agree so I won’t add anything to it…

II Timothy 2:20-26 “In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the Master of the house, ready for every good work. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Have nothing to do with foolish ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them to repent leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil after being captured by him to do his will.” ~ Sounds like good advise for all of us right now.

In the King James, it states…

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Here is the video… (if the video does not play, go here…)

2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV…

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Exchanging the Truth of God for a Lie

I was merely wondering if anyone really does this…swapping out the Truths of God for the lies of Satan. Sounds rather bizarre to me but many of us have done this, including myself.  We get so caught up in our everyday lives that we forget what God has instructed all of us to do; how we live; how we talk; how we resolve the issues that surrounds us.

First above all else we first must know the Truth.  Many people state that “the truth will set you free” and they yammer on and on and they think they are correct.  I beg to differ.  When one cites a partial Scripture verse, the lie(s) of Satan waltz right on into our lives.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32.

Romans 1:17 – 32 (KJV 1611)

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

How tragic this particular nation has become and how tragic it is that those of us that preach and teach the Words of God, as He has presented Himself to us, are called the “intolerant“.
