Today was the day that Free America screamed. For an example of how this can be revealed and shown, World Net Daily conducted a survey today and the top five were "Rather" interesting. Either view the site and participate or merely observe the screen shot.
The Washington Post has stated that Obama's day has arrived. Jacob Heilbrunn Sr. Editor, National Interest and author, "They Knew They Were Right: the Rise of the Neocons", stated at the Huffington Post the following:
Barack Obama didn't promise a new era in his inaugural speech. He promised a new American revolution. His evocation of George Washington at the end of his address made it clear that he regards the perils that face the country as almost no less daunting than those that it confronted in battling for its independence. His inaugural address, sober and dignified, has set the foundation for constructing a new gleaming edifice of democracy. It is up to us as much as Obama to construct it.
I find that curious. Evidently, these folks didn't hear the same speech I did. I watched and listened to the speech several times now. I have also read the speech as he was bellowing out much verbiage with no substance. I also detected something peculiar. He contradicted himself several times during the speech and especially from what he said last Saturday in Pennsylvania. As he was stating in stark contrast that which he has stated much differently, the pundits were showing impending signs of the Matthews Leg Tingle Syndrome. For instance, many commented about these following examples...
[...] At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents. [...]
That statement can be viewed and interpreted several ways. From my point of view having observed American Politics since 1968, perhaps We The People have remained faithful to the ideals of our "forbearers" (shouldn't that be forbears?) but certainly not the politicians in DC, primarily. As for our founding documents and I surmise he is referring to the United States Constitution, again, perhaps We The People have remained faithful as best we could under the circumstances but certainly not our politicians in DC, primarily. For example, the Bail Out Bills and following lunacy. For example, the Housing Quagmire. For example, Hillary Clinton as Sec State. For example, the highly questionable American natural-born citizenship status of one Barack Hussein Obama. For example, the proposed National Health Case or as some call it, Socialized Medicine. The list is endless. Some go as far as stating that upwards to 85% of the laws and policies on the books and in place are unconstitutional.
This next segment is indeed foreboding to say the least.
[...] That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet. [...]
America in the midst of crisis is now well understood? Since when? Where was this kind of acknowledgment when the housing crisis was discovered in the late 1990's? Our nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred? Since when? Where has Barack been all of this time since September 11th, 2001? Apparently, he was on the campaign trail since 2006 and failed to be aware of world events. Revealing the obvious to the oblivious is rather bothersome and tedious at times.
As for our economy being badly weakened, we can thank government interjection of unsound policies is the direct result of the current "crisis" and it is painfully obvious that government policies is the cause of the current crisis. It is still a mystery how 1% of failed mortgages has created such a quagmire. It is no mystery as to why the auto industry is in dire straits...look to the unions and further government interjection of failed policies. So, who developed these failed policies? Politicians that think like Barack Hussein Obama whether they are Republican, Democrat or Independent are the cause of the current financial down turn. Again, stating the obvious to the oblivious is heart breaking at times.
He mentioned health care too costly. Remove government interjection and it will heal itself. Jobs shed? Up until the manufactured financial down turn, there was 54 months of steady job growth which factored in the normal job losses. Even though jobs were lost, more jobs were created than lost. That is a positive thing and not a negative thing...stating the obvious to the oblivious. Our schools failing? Look to government interjection, Barack. Energy use threatens the planet? I can only surmise that he is referring to Global Warming Climate Change. Or, is it now the threat of solar activity - it's hard to keep track of the manufactured irrelevancies of our feigned and caring politicians. Climate change comes with the changing of the seasons which just so happens to coincide perfectly with the earth's rotation and orbit around the sun. The "man made" Global Warming Climate Change has been shown to be a farce and there is more than enough evidence for anyone to investigate for themselves.
The entire speech was filled with examples such as presented here and there will be many articles such as this in the very near future. I found it disgraceful. However, the larger disgrace were the pundits as they began their contraction of the Matthews Tingle Leg Syndrome.
Stand by for news.
