The Economy In The Laps of the Leftinistra
Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 7:03AM Just like it has always been, a poor economy rests solely in the laps of the socialists in this nation we call America. FDR was a pathetic mealy-mouthed sycophant of socialism and his New Deal was a consummate failure. WWII brought America out of the Depression and not the politics and socialist give-away domestic and unconstitutional government programs. Woodrow Wilson was no better and FDR picked up that socialist Guidon and wreaked havoc in our economy. Czarbama wants to continue that utter disgrace. (photo credit to All American Blogger)
LBJ was the next economic loser Jimmy Carter was the next loser in line that tried to reign in some socialist higher order. Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Carter - what a line up of failures to emulate. Next up was Clinton. He continued the economic downturn parameters that we are seeing coming to fruition today and Czarbama says that these failed programs are the way to go. And, he is correct in that these programs will indeed send us back into the American Depression part II. Yet, they all blamed someone else and Czarbama is no and will be no different.
I am glad to see but not wholly enthused about the recent developments in the unconstitutional "stimulus package" being utilized to rape the American people without even the courtesy of a reach around. Not one single Republican voted for it. Not one. And 11 Blue Dog Democrats did not swallow the gism of The Czarbie. Where have these people been for the last eight years?
I guess the phrase "I won" didn't have the affect the Marxist desired. His first huge outing, using the logic of the Leftinistra is a major set back and a major failure. He wasn't able to convert everyone to Marxist ways and means.
He says that this bill isn't his and that he doesn't own it. Kind of odd how that works isn't it? Everything President Bush did the Leftinistra claimed he owned it. I wonder how that rhetoric is reconciled. If this atrocity passes in the Senate, the Leftinistra will own this failed economic quagmire that will soon overwhelm us all. They know it and they are squirming already.
Barack Obama’s bloated $819 billion dollar stimulus package passed by a vote of 244-188 with no Republicans voting for it. 11 Democrats also voted against the package.
Special interest groups made out like bandits and it’s unclear how $335 million to prevent the spread of STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) will cause a short or long term financial boost or stimulate the economy, but at least Republicans don’t have to explain this bill to their constituents next election.
Democrats: You break it, you bought it, you own it.
AMEN!

The CATO Institute pretty much called Obama a liar (go figure) with full page ads (pdf file here) listing prominent economists saying the "stimulus package" will be the failure we all know it will be.
“There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy.” — PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA, JANUARY 9 , 2009
With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true.
Notwithstanding reports that all economists are now Keynesians and that we all support a big increase in the burden of government, we do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan’s “lost decade” in the 1990s. As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today. To improve the economy, policy makers should focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, saving, investment and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth.
Emphasis added is mine in the above quoted text.
It is good to see that finally there are those in DC that are actually Listening to We The People and paying attention to the United States Constitution.

Good day sir
"WWII brought America out of the Depression ..."
Can you tell us how WWII brought us out of the depression? Was it the 7 fold increase in government spending? The fact that most of that spending was deficit spending? The government imposed rationing? The 94% top income tax rate? The huge increase in union membership? The implementation of withholding taxes from paychecks? The federal regulations on prices?
And if a country found itself in a depression and there wasn't an all out war handy should the government just buy lots of planes, tanks and ships and sink them all in the ocean?
Thank you, Me aka the brain dead moron
PS here's an article about the US economy during WWII that you may enjoy

It is a matter of historical record that WWII brought this nation out of the depression. Not believing that fact or denying it doesn't it make it any less true. Perhaps you should learn about history and all the elements involved.
FDR's policies were tanking the already AFU economy to deeper and deeper depths. Poverty was rising and I don't need a leftist putrid version to explain it to me. I am not brain dead.
Your vain attempt as dry humor needs more polish. The reasoning is defective as well because it cannot be found.
By the way, we cannot be spun here so your efforts would be better suited for a third graders blog.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for the prompt reply. I am not denying that WWII ended the Great Depression, I'm merely asking if you could explain how.
It is very difficult explaining the obvious to the oblivious.
