Should Congress investigate? Congress is complicit, malfeasant, and in dereliction of its duty to protect the purse of the US government. Who shall we prosecute within Congress? Who will do the duties of prosecuting? The Federal Reserve? NO. NO. NO. The FBI? The Securities and Exchange Commission? They couldn't even figure out what Bernie Madoff was doing openly and blatantly. How about the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)? Currently, they seemingly look non-biased and non-prejudicial. A special prosecutor assigned by the Congress? That is like having a designated fox monitoring the hen house.
Let's keep the pressure on all who are considered and even remotely culpable. When the polling places open up in November 2010, let us all make sure that those who currently in Congress be given their pink slip notice and will no longer need their malfeasant services. Let them also know that they will not be given any financial and state supported legal representation, for their transgressions while in office. It is time for all our so called representation to come to us to justify why they will need their retirement and health benefits after absconding with our public funds.
AMEN MATT!!
