Michelle O's "gimme speech"?  Is that what it was?

Under the Jeopardy category of "All-Time Most Ineffective Speeches," a question which even Wolf Blitzer might have answered correctly: "What First Lady of the United States completely failed at international persuasion?"

No, Wolf, it wasn't Laura Bush.

The correct answer is Michelle Obama, whose speech Friday bombed and should go down as one of the worst, most selfish and ineffective entreaties of all times.  Whoever wrote the speech should be fired. America should be embarrassed that our First Lady would deliver it.

First, it was a "Gimme" speech. "Gimme, gimme, gimme. I deserve it. Chicago neighborhoods deserve it," was the underlying message. [...]

WOW!  Nelly Belly! Gimme Speech?  Indeed it was with everything in it that would do a community organizer proud.  Problem?  Yes, problem.  The IOC is NOT a community organiziing unit and they didn't care what the Hater of America had to say.  SHut up, Michele.

The President's administration will play down this Copenhagen farce with comments like "disappointed", "only the Olympics, nothing important", but this is a disaster for Obama, and the United States.

The President of the United States cannot show up in a minor role. His involvement is always that of the leader of the free world. When the President is there, the head of state of the United States is there, the richest and most powerful nation in the world is there, and is not to be trifled with. Indeed, the United States should never put itself in a position to be trifled with.

Therefore, any observer watching Obama jet across the seas to promote Chicago's cause would reasonably conclude that it was already in the bag, that someone with Obama's skills, access to intelligence, "in" connections, and resources would have already bribed or coughed up whatever was necessary to win. Obama could then bask in the rapturous acclaim due to the First Citizen of the World. [...]

First Citizen of the World?  Please.  Don't make me laugh.  Obama the Olympiad.  I bet he couldn't even run a 1/4 mile.  Yes, we know.  It was merely a depressing time but, you know, get over it, OK?  America Sucks.  Remember?

Michelle Malkin: The cost of the Obamalympic$ folly

Michelle Malkin has a most interesting expose on the Obamas Olymiad Trip to the IOC today.

I’d say the cost projection of the failed Obamalympics crony-fest from the Associated Press is vastly underestimated: [...] from the AP:

President Barack Obama’s failed bid to bring the 2016 Olympic Games to Chicago cost more than a bruised ego.

Taxpayers shelled out probably $1 million or more for the president, his wife and others to fly to Copenhagen and back to woo members of the International Olympic Committee.

A 2006 congressional study pegged the cost of flying Air Force One at $56,518 an hour. The Pentagon recently said it cost $100,219 an hour to fly the huge, reconfigured Boeing 747 without Obama aboard. The Pentagon estimate included more costs for support needs, such as maintenance.

At those rates, the president’s 14-hour trip to Copenhagen and back cost about $790,000 to $1.4 million.

DAMN!  And Obama seems to thibk that his trip was merely a distraction?

Here's the REAL low down on the "advertised trip"...

Remember the First Lady flew separately to Copenhagen — adding another estimated $395,000 to $700,000 in flight and maintenance costs alone — before joining her husband on Air Force One for the losers’ flight home.

And remember: Federally-funded Cabinet members on the Chicago Olympics entourage included White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

Then there’s the Air Force One back-up plane, security, and overseas transport of the Obama’s armored presidential limousines.

“Sacrifice” for thee, but not for He and She.

Obamas.  ASSHATS!  Remember.  America SUCKS!
