Fort Hood Ceremony
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 10:55AM I am going to live blog this Ceremony today and hopefully The One's diatribe will be small and short-winded. Theoretically this will be a good event. Theoretically. Just about everybody here hates the Jihadi so we will see what the Jihadi sympathizer has to say. Also, hopefully, the Code Skanks will not be here. I will place in the updates all that is said.
The Snooper Report. Join us as we Take Our Country Back.
Sic vis pacem para bellum
Fight Accordingly
About to start. 1st CAV theme is playing now.
I saw John McCain earlier today and some others but John does need to be here. Obama does not.
The victim's families are approaching the stage, arm in arm.
Reporters are talking about PTSD and no, Hasan didn't have that yet seeing that he was never in combat before. Fokls that are saying he had PTSD have no idea what PTSD is. I know. I have it and Hasan didn't.
Thousands are here today offering support for the Fallen and the wounded and their families.
Getting ready now.
Somebody just told everybody to sit down and they did. Must have been hand signals or something.
The One has already spoken to the Families and will soon come to the stage and read the names of the Fallen. I sure hope he doesn't screw this all up.
1st CAV Band is playing again now.
Here he comes, The One. The HIC? Healer In Chief? Good God Almighty...oh. Wait. Good god almighty. National Consoler. My God.
[...] Notice now how this outbreak of Sudden Jihadi Syndrome is merely a "shooting rampage" and not an Islamist terror act. Heck, the word Muslim doesn't even exist in the story.
One can only imagine Obama will compare the sacrifices of the slain soldiers to community service. [...]
The National "Consoler" hasn't arrived yet.
38 minutes into this thing and the "Consoler" hasn't arrived yet. Good grief.
BAG PIPES!! I love the bagpipes.
Here it comes. The One and some few cheered...must have been the skanks in the crowd.
National Anthem playing.
Hands over hearts...I guess he learned something from last time.
COL Michael Lembke III Corps Chaplain praying.
LtG Robert Cones, Commanding General of Fort Hood and III Corp: Issuing condolences and offering up praise to our Nation.
We will never believe leaving one of our own on our own soil...acts of bravery and cunning saved many lives on this day...
Chief of Staff US Army, George Casey: "Here am I. Send me". Praise and adulation for the Troops. We will never accept defeat. We epitomize the good of the 13 KIA at Fort Hood.
Obama: not a whole lot of clapping going on men and women...
This is a time of war...the 13 were killed on American soil and not "over there".
He is now speaking about the Fallen...good stuff here.
The Spirit of the Fallen are what makes the Spirit of our Military lives on and on.
The twisted logic of this tragedy is unknown to us now. Now he is talking about the future of this Nation and we all know what that means...don't we? Come together again. More campaign crap...here we go...now he is talking crap again. Damn. He started out so well.
We defend our Truth overseas and here at home. Veterans Day. A time to pay tribute and remember. It's nice to know that he knows Veterans Day is tomorrow.
Don't look to the past for history...look before us because it is here. That's right. Never look back because history bears this moron out. Enough, Czarboe. I gave you a shot and you are now blowing it. Shut up.
OK. Getting back to the Troops now. Good stuff again.
We now say goodbye. God bless the memory of those that we lost and God Bless America.
Amazing Grace is now being sung by someone. She got more applause than Obama did.
Isaiah 40th chapter being stated by COL Michael Lembke III Corps Chaplain...
technical difficulties...sound is gone...Fox News is up...
Benediction and Roll Call.
And now TAPS.
Final Honors by the Families involved here.
This broadcast is now over.
Rest easy my Brothers.
The Obamas are now rendering their time to the pictures of the Fallen and I have got to go. This is photo-op material.
DrewM at Ace: Fort Hood Memorial Service
My one hope, which won't be realized, is that the 12 soldiers are not referred to as 'victims'. They are casualties of war, as much as if they had been killed by an Islamic terrorist in Afghanistan or Iraq. [...]
And that is what the Troops said in the memorial.
Atlas Shrugs: Uncontrived, heartfelt Obama
At Memeorandum: more Ambinder stuff...sometimes he's right but...
Confederate Yankee: Well Done, Mr. President
I'm not all that keen on the speech, Boss. He did a slight campaign maneuver in there.
Dan Riehl: Obama: "No Faith Justifies These Murders"
Dan Riehl: Soldier: Some Boss We Got There!
HA: Video: Obama’s eulogy at Fort Hood

Obama's Cowardly Ft. Hood Speech
[...] At no point during his speech did he mutter any words that describe the enemy we continue to face. [...]
Obama's Fort Hood Memorial: No Mention of Terrorism or Jihad
That's because he is a Jihadi sympathizer just like the morons that have come by today.
Macsmind: Sorry Obama - Your Words are Just that - Words - He doesn't believe any of it
Lots of people right and left praising Obama on his speech at Fort Hood today. I'm not. Not because it wasn't a good speech, but because the one who delivered it doesn't believe a word he uttered. [...]
AMEN.
Dan Kalder at BG: The Truth About Fort Hood
Like everybody else, when I first heard about the shootings at Fort Hood I immediately rushed to judgment, assuming that anybody opening fire on soldiers on an army base in Texas expected to die. Thus the shooter was either 1) a soldier who had cracked or 2) a priapic jihadist aroused by the thought of all those virgins in paradise. Reasoning that an armed Islamist would struggle to penetrate Fort Hood’s security, I concluded that the shooter was probably an unfortunate soldier gone berserk. A few hours later however I discovered secret option 3) that the “alleged” shooter Nidal Hasan was both a soldier and a jihadi nutbag- an entirely new hybrid, in other words. [...]

Oh my God.
Such hateful comments.
I'm so sorry that our country must endure that attitude posed as patriotism and righteousness.
So profoundly sad.

Darn. Another moosetwit? please say differently.
Snoop, it broke my heart ot see the family members and service members saying good-bye. I had never seen a military memorial. God Bless the American Military. Damn Hasan, may he burn in hell.
AMEN iggy. AMEN.
The brave men and women in our military have given their lives so that morons like you have the right to spew this garbage!!
And that's because I am a True American and you are a moron.
Too bad we must endure clowns like bmcgregor and true american.
They probably think Islam is filled with wonderful lovable little muzzies.
Tried to watch this on FOX Mark but had to change the channel when dufus obama showed up.
Thanks for being there brother.
First of all I want to hug every single last soldier out there. God bless you! Thank you for your service to our country.
Second, I can't begin to describe my anger at the leaders of this country. When lives are at stake, the sole control of their livlihood should go exclusively to a Commander in the Army, or in the military somewhere where the leaders care about winning the war and the welfare of their soldiers.
Not by some narcissistic politician whose using the head of the DHS as a political attack dog to scapegoat private citizens while Hasan sits on the Task Force and was let go after the CIA noticed he was contacting the imam a few times. It's apparent that our "commander in chief" (in name only) has a conflict of interst and bigger priorites (like rushing massive legislation and spending projects). I've never seen the media so rabid to a political group when our country was attacked from the inside, now isn't the time for it.
I look back at 9/11 and a few other instances and saw true leaders. Guiliani was one of them. Instead of mudslinging or inattentiveness- he was dealing with the disaster in his city. Bush made a note not to discriminate; but he didn't make anyone apologize for being hurt or angry about the incident. Note: people come together in times of crisis unless something prevents them from doing so.
It would be nice to know that your leader is on your side. That alone is strength, it eliminates mistrust, misunderstandings and hate.
Well, our dear leader is not on our side and that's the real bad part...
