Apparently, We Will Lose In Afghanistan?
Monday, November 23, 2009 at 9:10AM General McChrystal has asked for 60,000 additional Troops to win the war. I showed in several previous posts how this will work...it worked in Iraq but the Defeatocrats wanted to lose in Iraq 45 times. This is Obama's chance to lose the war and claim Vietnam stature.

We have the beginnings of Afghan Tribes rallying against the Taliban. Why? Because the Taliban are hated in Afghanistan. So, we quit? Sorry, Czarboe...that's unacceptable.
From the video:
[...] "I think it’s just completely inexcusable that we’ve now had month after month after month of photo-op out of the White House and no decision. The president is very fond of saying, ‘Before I commit troops, I’m going to think very carefully about it.’ Somebody in the White House needs to remind him: He’s already committed troops. We’ve got American men and women in Afghanistan today, because we’ve got to prevent Afghanistan from again becoming a safe haven for Al Qaida. The cost of walking away, the cost of defeat, the cost of retreat is huge. They’re fighting there today, and they’re fighting without the kind of resources and reinforcements that he needs — that they need." [...]

From Wizbang: Might this explain the dithering?
This is an article about Obama giving away certain areas to the Taliban...in the hopes of paying them off? Idiot. Also posted at Brutally Honest.
From Jihad Watch: Fitzgerald: Instead Of Sending More Troops To Afghanistan, What Should Obama Do?
Obama is on the run. He has spent the past year in many separate, long trips all over the place. In Great Britain, he gave Gordon Brown some DVDs and Michele Obama in chummy fashion -- nobody here but us queens -- put her arm on the Queen's shoulder. In Russia, Obama decided to hold a Town Meeting to which both dissidents and members of the government, that is, of the K.G.B., were invited. He thus effectively shut up the dissidents and appalled all Russian liberals, who were distinctly unimpressed with his understanding of their situation. [...]
[...] But perhaps Obama and his advisors will fool us, and show, at long last, that they are not prisoners of their past pieties and misunderstandings. [END]
Obama on the run. We all know this and so does he. Why? Because he is a community organizer and that is all he is.
DrewM at Ace: Obama's Afghanistan Decision Tonight?
No one talks to anyone about this at all at the Marxist House. Gibbles and Bits just said today that it will be after the Thanksgiving Holiday which, by the way, is strictly against any Democrat in DC...it reeks of - GOD - !
They site two articles at The Hill. Obama's pow-wow with the "national security team" and one that says he will make a decision tonight. We'll see.
[...] If so, it would fit with what Lex is hearing about Marines getting the word deployments are being moved up and enlarged.
I can't wait to see what type of plan this reincarnation of King Solomon and George Patton comes up with.
A more cynical person than I (if such a person exists) might say that this is awfully interesting after the Senate vote on health care and even more importantly the unanimously negative reaction to his trip to Asia and his 'leadership' style. [END]
Yeah. Right. The reincarnation is cool but is it likely? Perhaps. Seeing that his "polls" are plumetting, he just might have to fix his base? By sending Troops to Afghanistan? We shall see.

Once again the jihad groveler in chief is doing his damndest to turn over as much as possib le to the jihad. Earlier this month Obama fails at Surrender: US offers Taliban 6 provinces -- Taliban says no. So now Obama is offering Kandahar, Helmand, Oruzgan, Kunar and Nuristan province.

Afghan Source: The U.S. Has Offered the Taliban Control in Return for Quiet
An Afghan source in Kabul reports that U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry is holding secret talks with Taliban elements headed by the movement's foreign minister, Ahmad Mutawakil, at a secret location in Kabul. According to the source, the U.S. has offered the Taliban control of the Kandahar, Helmand, Oruzgan, Kunar and Nuristan provinces in return for a halt to the Taliban missile attacks on U.S. bases.
