Sparkman: The Incredible Incredibility Of the Leftinistra?
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 5:26AM See this post from yesterday: Sparkman Was Killed By A Right Wing What?
That post was just supposed to be a small bit into the alleged credibility of the leftosphere but it has turned into something more as can be seen in the plethora of updates. Today is another story.
From the Lexington Herald Leader: Police: Census worker made death look like homicide to get money.
[...] Sparkman died at that spot as a result of asphyxiation. Police say he staged the details to try to make it appear he was murdered because he was a federal employee.
He succeeded in some quarters.
In addition to causing a firestorm of media coverage, the bizarre details led to widespread speculation on the Internet, including that someone angry at the federal government attacked Sparkman as he gathered census information door to door.
There has been a long-running federal public-corruption investigation in Clay County, and Sparkman mentioned that to his friend, said FBI spokesman David Beyer.
Many people felt the speculation and coverage of the death played on Appalachian stereotypes and gave Clay County an undeserved black eye.
"Everybody was saying, 'It's bad, but why are they saying this without letting the investigation go forward?' " said state Sen. Robert Stivers, a Republican who lives in the county.
Many in the media owe the county an apology, Stivers said. [...]
From an untitled page at The Other McCain:
[...] Thanks to an anonymous source in an Associated Press story and a flurry of speculation by bloggers, however, this quiet community was imagined to be a seething cauldron of hatred stoked by Fox News, talk radio and Republican politicians. Clay County's state Sen. Robert Stivers told the Lexington Herald-Leader that "many in the media owe the county an apology." As Morgan Bowling said Tuesday afternoon, at times it seemed as if pundits were trying to turn Bill Sparkman into a "sacrificial lamb for ObamaCare."
At the height of the national media glare, the Manchester Enterprise's young editor received an e-mail from New York: "What are you people, backwoods ignorant freaks?" the e-mailer wrote. "This crime is a reflection of all the residents of Clay County. . . . You are all disgusting pigs, and if one could level a curse at a community, then I curse the whole lot of you."
Morgan Bowling is only a few months into her journalism career, but she got a crash course about what can happen when irresponsible reporting leads to unfounded speculation. [...]
From day one the death of Sparkman was attributed to the rightosphere with unaccountable facets of facts. In other words, lies. Lying is such a monumental conundrum to the leftinistra and each and every day they seem to be building and building on any lie they can come up with just make a lie look like the Truth. They, the leftinistra, have gone too far and many people are beginning to see The Way from the leftinistra. No one believes them anymore and the more you lie, the sooner your numbers will crumble.
Yesterday I linked up to Michelle Malkin's post, More on Sparkman: “Fed” was written Ashley Todd-style, and I told you as a response to the much hated and poofed out idiot Andrew Sullivan. He was all over the "fact" that right-wingers killed Sparkman because he was a census worker and even gave Michelle Malkin the Malkin Award for being such a "conservative". Screw Andy. Moron.
Michelle scans through the writings of Andy the Dolt and expresses his utter stupidity. Go read it. However, get a load out of the leftinistra that are suffering from remorse(?).
