Election Day 2009
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 8:23AM We have so much going on today that I will try and meld it all together. Here we go.
First we start out with a plethora of Memeorandum posts:
Adam Nagourney / New York Times: 3 Contests on Election Day Could Signal Political Winds
WASHINGTON - In this supposedly quiet off-year election, there are three contests taking place Tuesday that are filling the void. Voters in New Jersey and Virginia will elect a governor, while voters in upstate New York are filling [...]
Matt Lewis / Politics Daily: NY-23: How Sarah Palin Stands to Win (and Charlie Crist Stands to Lose)
Much has been made over the special election in New York's 23rd Congressional District. For some, the attention might seem a bit much, given that it is merely one of 435 House seats. — In reality, this race is about much more than one House seat. [...]
Anita MonCrief / The Greenroom: Breaking: ACORN expected to Protest Election Results Tomorrow in Clinton County
Multiple sources on the ground in New York's 23rd Congressional district confirm that ACORN is expected to be actively protesting the election results in Clinton County, New York tomorrow. [...]
Matt Friedman / Politicker NJ: Democrats admit paying for pro-Daggett call; Obama records robocall for Corzine
The Democratic State Committee now admits paying for a robocall to Somerset County voters that slams Republican Chris Christie and promotes independent gubernatorial candidate Christopher Daggett. [...]
Jordan Fabian / The Hill: Palin responds to criticism from Biden
Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) on Monday responded to Vice President Joe Biden's comments about her support for Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in a hotly contested special election. — Biden today appeared at a rally [...]
Watertown Daily Times: Scozzafava, at Owens event, urges focus on local issues
CANTON — Republican Dierdre K. Scozzafava crossed paths with Democrat William L. Owens on the campaign trail Sunday during a stop in Canton, and urged her former rival to avoid the “hateful and divisive” tactics that helped drive her out of the race for Congress. [...]
Molly K. Hooper / The Hill: Boehner regrets backing Scozzafava
The top-ranking House Republican told reporters on Monday that he regrets having supported former GOP House candidate Dede Scozzafava. — Scozzafava, the official Republican Party candidate in the special election in New York's 23rd district [...]
Casey Seiler / Capitol Confidential: Scozzafava robocalls for Owens
In for a penny, in for a pound — or in for a robocall, as evidenced by Dede Scozzafava's latest effort to support Democrat Bill Owens. which was released by Owens' campaign [...]
Amy Gardner / Virginia Politics: Jim Moran Calls GOP the “Taliban Ticket”
Always good copy, U.S. Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) likened the Republican ticket in Virginia this year to Afghanistan's radical Taliban movement in comments broadcast Sunday by WAMU radio. — At a get-out-the-vote rally in Fairfax County [...]
Pat Dollard: NJ Democrat Party Hires Gangbangers For Voter Influence Campaign - With Video
How would you like to be a New Jersey police officer and look out your window and see several known criminals, including a man you arrested several weeks ago and another who had just been released from prison for shooting a cop? And then find out that the men were sent into the neighborhood by the Democratic Party for GOTV operations - complete with lists of voters names, addresses and phones numbers! [...]
Mike's America: RNC Runs Ad Urges NY-23 Voters to "Fight Back! Vote Conservative" on Tuesday
The RNC ad also asks: "Whose side are you on?" Some of us have been wondering the same thing about RNC leaders!Perhaps to make up for the $900,000 the National Republican Congressional Campaign... [...]
Big Government: BREAKING: New Jersey Dems Paying for Independent Candidate’s RoboCalls
New Jersey political blogs MoreMonmouthMusings and Save Jersey have been all over this story, which we mentioned last night. The first clue was that the number used to make the robocalls had also been used for robocalls for Maryland Democrat Governor candidate Martin O’Malley in 2006. Of course, the Daggett campaign could have just hired a Democrat firm to make the calls, Today, however, we have definitive proof that the New Jersey Democratic State Committee is paying for ads attacking GOP candidate Chris Christie and promoting Independent candidate Chris Daggett. [...]
Big Government: New York 23: ACORN expected to Protest Election Results Tomorrow in Clinton County
Multiple sources on the ground in New York’s 23rd Congressional district confirm that ACORN is expected to be actively protesting the election results in Clinton County, New York tomorrow. This move comes on the heels of a legal win for the Hoffman camp today as it was ruled that all poll watchers would have to be registered voters of NY 23. [...]
AAB: Palin: “Hoffman, Baby Hoffman!”
Vice President Joe Biden took a shot at one time opponent Gov. Sarah Palin today while campaigning for some looter in New York. He was apparently going for laughs when he said Palin’s idea of drilling for oil was simplistic. [...]
Today marks another election day and while there are only a handful of important races around the country, the New Jersey governor's race is probably the one that should be most closely watched. President Obama has been to the state three times, making four appearances for incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine and the President even taped a robocall for Corzine. [...]
I'm look for for a sweep tomorrow in New Jersey, Virginia and NY-23. Right now Christie is pulling away, Obama's last minute efforts having failed. Virginia is in the bag and even NY-23 is looking good in the latest polling. [...]
The elections in Virginia seem to all be tipping in the favor of a Republican clean sweep in Gov and Lieutenant Gov which is great great news for America and Jefferson's Virginia. However, the close shave shaping up in New Jersey was a blowout tipping to the republican challenger Chris Christy right up until a third party candidate got involved and is sucking off votes from the best candidate as it usually does, which has brought the race razor close this morning of the vote. [...]
Pamela Geller: Stealing New Jersey
Corzine is toast. Finished. Cooked. But he may win ............ cuz it's a blue state, it's Democrat, it's dirty.
It's what the Dems do -- they steal. Fair play is of no use to the far left. They would never win the honest way; they win the Chicago way. They have in their employ racketeering organizations whose function it is. [...]
Pamela Geller: Watching the Left Squirm
It's fitting, cu thats what worms do best - squirm. But it is particularly delightful to watch the talking leftheads try to spin the Democrats projected losses in today's election.
Believe me if, someone wins it will be "proof that America, loves! wants!, needs! worships! the Obamessiah". "It's a mandate!"
If the the racketeering party loses, it's because "all parties lose elections when in power", "it doesn't matter" and of course, the precious and ironic, "they stole the election" made by an ACORN or SEIU spokesman no doubt.
It's a good day
GET OUT THE VOTE. TAKE BACK AMERICA!
JWF: Update on NJ Democrat Aide Drug Bust
When we noted this fellow Jason Shih Saturday the New Jersey Democrats denied he ever worked for him and pretended they had no idea who he was. Well, according to a local newspaper, he was in possession of a bunch of pay stubs from a county Democrat organization, tickets to a Jon Corzine-Obama event and a heck of a lot of ecstasy.Still, most media have chosen to ignore the story.Jason Shih, 25, [...]
JWF: Palin Gangsterslaps Biden
The idiot just walked into a right cross.Palin by knockout. As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a [...]
Mike's America at FA: RNC Runs Ad Urges NY-23 Voters to “Fight Back! Vote Conservative” on Tuesday
The RNC ad also asks: “Whose side are you on?” Some of us have been wondering the same thing about RNC leaders!
Perhaps to make up for the $900,000 the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee wasted on turncoat Scozzofava in the special congressional election in NY-23 the RNC is running the following radio ad in that district: [...]
The RNC. Screw them. Right Mike?
TAB: OBAMA VISITED CAMDEN AND NEWARK TO FACILITATE VOTER FRAUD AND HELP CORZINE STEAL NJ
THESE ARE THE TWO CITIES WITH HUGE DEMOCRAT MAJORITIES - AND BLACK MAJORITIES.
WHY DID HE CHOOSE THESE TWO CITIES? [...]
TAB: ACORN Ballot Fraud in NY-23?
Ironically, while right-wingers are rolling their eyes at Patrick Gaspard's involvement with Scozzafava's campaign and worrying out about ACORN's plan to protest the election results tomorrow, the Nutroots are just plain scared about possible ACORN ballot fraud in NY-23. I guess the Republican elite figured that ACORN corruption didn't matter because it was their ACORN corruption until Sunday. [...]
The Lid: This Thursday Nov 4--Kill Obamacare Before It Kills YOU--National Day Of ACTION
Did you know that the House will vote on a health care bill this week? We have an action plan. Big events are happening all week!
Dear Fellow American Patriots:
Wow! Has this not been one big roller coaster ride???
The bottom line is we are now in the final countdown.
The entire House will vote on a health care bill this week, as early as Thursday afternoon.
For months we have all been working feverishly to make sure that government run health care legislation is not passed. We have done it all: [...]
The Lid: DIRTY TRICKS DEPT> NJ Democrats Admit to Paying For Pro-Daggett RoboCalls
Chicago Style dirty tricks have it New Jersey, the Democratic Party is waging a robocall campaign in support of the Independent Candidate for Governor Christopher Daggett trying to peel off votes from Republican Candidate Chris Christie and help incumbent Jon Corzine. [...]
Dan Riehl: Audio: Dede Scozzafava Robo Call
Audio at this link. Hi, I'm Dede Scozzafava. As you know, I'll sell my fat ass to any party willing to either put up the dough, or promise me perks after I'm done with my latest charade. Who needs a bandwagon when you can pummel my junk all you want on election day. [...]

Donald Douglas: Doug Hoffman: 'Voters Ready to Stop the Nancy Pelosi Agenda'
Jude Seymour of the Watertown (N.Y.) Daily Times is a nice guy, who let me use his office computer two weeks ago when I first came up to cover this campaign. Exactly why he chose this occasion to spring a "gotcha" question on Doug Hoffman, I don't know. Watch the video, and make your own judgment. [...]
Look, the guy claims he's assistant deputy director to Democrat Jon Corzine's re-election campaign. But with that much incriminating evidence in the car, shoot, I'd play stupid too. (And, of course, with Republican Chris Christie edging ahead in the polls, Corzine's clinging on for dear life; for Christ's sake he can't deal with a totally fubar campaign drug bust at the same time). From the Leader (East Rutherford, New Jersey) "ERPD: Man Busted for Drugs Claimed He Was Corzine Campaign Staffer": [...]
Donald Douglas: November 3rd's Tea Party Moment
Do Politico writers read The Rhetorican?
Probably not, otherwise these two wouldn’t be noting now what I noted months ago: that the Tea Party movement is not a Republican movement.
Thus, it doesn’t matter how down on its luck or irrelevant the GOP is. The Tea Party crowd doesn’t derive its momentum from the GOP. And its goals are broader than replacing one party with another: it aims to undermine the ever-increasing power – not of Democrats per se – but of our Political Class. [...]
Donald Douglas: Message to GOP Bosses: Conservatives Got Game in New York and Nationwide!
The upstate rebellion that drove a moderate Republican off the ballot in a special House election is sending a message likely to resonate in upcoming races: Don't ignore the grass roots of the right. [...]

So says Election Journal, who gets it from two sources, albeit anonymous ones. [...]
Yes. It is.
Doctor Zero at HA: The stupid party
New York Republicans got a rock in their trick-or-treat bags over the Halloween weekend, as Dede Scozzafava ripped off her million-dollar Republican mask and revealed herself to be a Democrat. [...]
McCain: NY23: What New Media have done
"We defeated the Daily Kos candidate," said Eric Odom of the American Liberty Alliance, one of four blogger-activists on the ground in New York over the past several days as conservative pressure mounted on Scozzafava to withdraw. The other bloggers were Ali Akbar, Stephen Foley and Robert Stacy McCain [...]
McCain: NY23 VIDEO: Local GOP Official, Ex-Dede Backer, Now 100% for Doug Hoffman
Jim Fitzpatrick is secretary-treasurer of the Jefferson County (N.Y.) Republican Party. He has been a friend of Dede Scozzafava for 25 years, but after Dede committed bestiality -- love it, Rush -- Fitzpatrick is now on board for Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. [...]
McCain: NY23: Hoffman is asked to react to Limbaugh's Dede 'bestiality' comment
Jude Seymour of the Watertown (N.Y.) Daily Times is a nice guy, who let me use his office computer two weeks ago when I first came up to cover this campaign. Exactly why he chose this occasion to spring a "gotcha" question on Doug Hoffman, I don't know. Watch the video, and make your own judgment. [...]
McCain: NY23: Please, God, let it end tonight
Michelle Malkin is one of the few people you're likely to see on TV tonight who actually knows what it means. . . Last night, Malkin warned readers to be ready to watch Democrats and their media allies downplay an expected "conservative surge" in this off-off-year election. OK, I can cope with that. . . . What I genuinely dread, however, is the possibility of vote-fraud shenanigans. Last night, I heard Hoffman spokesman Rob Ryan repeat his warnings about the danger of ballot-box mischief. And now ACORN whistleblower Anita Montcrief is worried, too. . . . [...]
McCain: NY23: Visit to a Watertown precinct
The Watertown, N.Y., hotel that has been home of the National Desk for the past two days is across the street from a polling place. I just strolled over this morning and was greeted on the sidewalk by elderly volunteers handing out Hoffman sample ballots: [...]
Dan Riehl: NY - 23: If We Lead, They Will Follow
TCOTReport: As the entire GOP associated with NY - 23, even those most instrumental in giving her the nod, abandon Scozzafava for Hoffman, her Republican support has dropped further and faster than the Maidenform variety Dede always seemed to lack. Seriously you couldn't tell if it was that, or her ankles were swelling. The Liberal traitor was no more ready for prime time, than was she right for the GOP. And there is a serious lesson in all this, no matter what. [...]
Dan Riehl: Nov. 3: Let's Rock n' Roll
Today isn't the day to sit on the sidelines. If there's a race you're eligible to vote in, get out and vote. If there's a race you can assist with by helping put more boots on the ground, step up. Participation, not rhetoric is the key to winning any of today's elections at this point. Michelle Malkin has a round up of resources for you. [...]

While here I met a fellow named Robert Stacy McCain, you may have heard of him . . . [...]

Now even more telling in loss of power of the Demoncraps is the strong possibility of the GOP candidate, Harmer only losing by single digits in CA-10. That has long been a double digit win for the leftists.
Another thing that I understand that the real insider power players in the demoncraps are looking at is anticipated losses in the NJ and VA legislative races. This is expected in NJ and a landslide for the GOP is expected in VA.
We Conservatives are on the rise.
From a fellow I know in Northern VA, the Conservatives had taken back the state GOP earlier this year. He has been saying to look out. Tthey realized what the winning ticket was and mamby pamby demoncrap lite had not helped their cause. I now am beginning to believe him.
Robert E. Lee may end up being proud of his state once again.
The SOUTH will rise again!
