Two posts I have written and published on Howard Zinn and his collectivist Marxist-sociopathic indoctrination upon the Youth of America.
July 4th, 2007: Progressing Towards Blissful Ignorance and Stupidity
Howard Zinn...brain dead idiot. 'Nuf said.
The bloody fool was writing at Think Like Brain Dead Dweebs...
On this July 4, we would do well to renounce nationalism and all its symbols: its flags, its pledges of allegiance, its anthems, its insistence in song that God must single out America to be blessed.
Is not nationalism -- that devotion to a flag, an anthem, a boundary so fierce it engenders mass murder -- one of the great evils of our time, along with racism, along with religious hatred?
These ways of thinking -- cultivated, nurtured, indoctrinated from childhood on -- have been useful to those in power, and deadly for those out of power.
National spirit can be benign in a country that is small and lacking both in military power and a hunger for expansion (Switzerland, Norway, Costa Rica and many more). But in a nation like ours -- huge, possessing thousands of weapons of mass destruction -- what might have been harmless pride becomes an arrogant nationalism dangerous to others and to ourselves.
Our citizenry has been brought up to see our nation as different from others, an exception in the world, uniquely moral, expanding into other lands in order to bring civilization, liberty, democracy.
That self-deception started early. [...]
Have you ever heard anything so, so retarded in your life? Set down those Bibles! Set down those flags! Set down that god! Moron. Howard Zinn and his cabal of Marxist-sociopaths. The fool more than likely believes in the myth if global warming, as all Climate Deniers do.
September 18th, 2008: Republicans and Media Bias
[...] MEMRI brings us a story about an interview of Howard Zinn at Al Jazeera news as he explains that the only thing they can hope for is a rebellion in the United States. He has always subscribed to the overthrow of the United States. I wonder why the media doesn't "expose" him. (snort worthy question btw) [...] (the entire story is here)
A rebellion in the United States? A rebellion?. Really? And the Leftinistra wonder about us Conservatives? So, there is going to be a "progressive" rebellion against the United States Constitution? Isn't that just a wee bit illegal to make such an allegation? Oh. Wait. A libtard is doing it so it is OK but not for a person stead fast standing with the USC. I see. Free Speech for Thee but NOT for Thou? How does that work again?
In recent days, someone has decided to actually say something about the Great Zinnster. IN this discourse, I noticed that Matt Damn was a Zinnskiite. I promptly, after I conferred and confirmed, took all of his DVDs and threw them in the fire complete with covers. Matt Damon is now officially on the "don't watch this moron" list.
I call them Zinnaholics. Perhaps if we were to ship them all to a Marxist-socialist state of their choosing would be great for them. I wonder how much they would make in their movies elsewhere?
I have been a Zinn-basher for decades but, who in the hell am I? All I did for 28 years of my life was to go forth and commit combat against the morons over there so the morons over here cold take the Nation over.
[...] Now, there’s a documentary version scheduled to air on the History Channel — reportedly bankrolled by Zinn groupie/actor Matt Damon — and Zinn, Inc. has launched an “education project” to support wider dissemination of his anti-American, anti-capitalist propaganda material to K-12 schools. [...]
[...] Zinn encourages among students what journalists in the age of Obama have openly embraced: not even a pretense of objectivity or balance. “Objectivity is impossible,” he once claimed. Granted, historians have long accepted that no writer of history can be completely free of all cultural and personal bias. But whereas this self-awareness normally spurs historians to strive all the harder for objectivity and fidelity to facts, Zinn’s solution is to embrace bias and selectivity as positives, and use them as tools for the left’s Utopian pursuit of social justice: “If you have any kind of a social aim,” says Zinn, ”if you think history should serve society in some way; should serve the progress of the human race; should serve justice in some way, then it requires that you make your selection on the basis of what you think will advance causes of humanity.” (Emphasis added) In other words, it’s not enough for historians to piece together the clearest, most honest picture of the past to give us insight into our present and future; they are morally obligated to selectively shape the material in ways that they think will advance certain causes, even at the expense of truth. This is not historiography; this is, as Josh Brolin might say, propaganda. [...]
Go read the article but the title stands all on its own.
“Objectivity is impossible,” self-styled “peoples’ historian” Howard Zinn once remarked, “and it is also undesirable. That is, if it were possible it would be undesirable, because if you have any kind of a social aim, if you think history should serve society in some way; should serve the progress of the human race; should serve justice in some way, then it requires that you make your selection on the basis of what you think will advance causes of humanity.” [...]
Yep. Intellectual moron.
It's too bad that a mere 25% of the Nation are going to "speak out" and the other 75% just need to shut up. Right? Right. A rebellion sure is coming, Howie Zinnster.
The two most important questions for society, according to the Greek philosopher Plato, are these: What will we teach our children? And who will teach them? Left-wing celebrities have teamed up with one of America’s most radical historians to take control of the classroom in the name of “social justice.” Parents, beware: This Hollywood-backed Marxist education project may be coming to a school near you. [...]
And, here we go again. Some moron named Zinn going after the oil thing again. Seeing that the oil in the Middle East is STILL in the Middle East and not in our fuel tanks, when does this moron ever get out into the public? I wonder what he thinks of the US Constitution.
