Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up an Amsterdam-Detroit airline flight Christmas Day demonstrated that "the system worked."
Asked by CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who has been charged with trying to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the jet, Napolitano responded: "We're asking the same questions."
Napolitano added that there was "no suggestion that [the suspect] was improperly screened."
Yes. There is no threat. He was a lone terrorist. No Jihadi conections. Just sewed that bomb to his underwear. Decided to light it off. Sounded like firecrackers. He got burned. Nothing happened. All the libtards are right. Passengers overreacted. No big deal. The system worked. WHAT SYSTEM? The system of blowing up an aircraft on Christmas Day? The system of Jihad?
Napoleanitanio is a crack pot. "The system worked". What system was that? A bomb with a fraudulent detonator? Did she invent that deal or what?

Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.
We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe-children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores. [...]
The above isn't the entire verbiage but, yes! America sucks. We don't understand Jihad. Jihad is just a word. Means nothing. 91101 was our fault. And, the system worked.

That chick's a blithering idiot. The entire world knows this guy slipped through the cracks. At least own up to that, you moron. Don't insult my intelligence telling me to "calm down" and that the "system" worked. If the system worked, he would have been on the no-fly list. If the system worked, this little scrote wouldn't have made it pass the final physical screen; if the system worked, air marshalls and not the flying dutchman would have pummled his ass.

I drove my son, who is a flight attendant, to the airport early this morning. I can tell you that he was nervous as he talked about the training he has gone through and the numerous security related emails he's received the last two days.
It's the first shift he has worked since the Detroit "incident". While he's a little relieved that he flies only domestic flights - I imagine that all people who are flying the not so friendly skies would appreciate the prayers of all who believe (I know that I do).

And what a stupid thing to say, "the system, after the incident occurred, the system worked". What would she have said had he blown the plane out of the air? Maybe it would have sounded like this - once the plane was blown to smithereens the recovery "system" worked - the family notification "system" worked?????? Can anyone explain what system worked when a passenger had to be a hero and the crew had to keep the jihadi scum subdued until the plane landed. Maybe this hits just a little too close to home for me - but I don't see any "system" the feds have or don't have in place that worked here! And knowing some of the "added security measures" that Brock told me about - his job just got more difficult because of the "system" failures!
