Obama's Job Summit To Create No Jobs?
Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 7:13AM Evan Newmark / Deal Journal: Mean Street: The Sham of a Mockery of an Obama Jobs Summit
What is it about Thursday's White House “jobs summit” that rubs me the wrong way? — All presidents engage in these sorts of elaborate PR stunts. Why not just dismiss it as another meaningless piece of Washington political theater? [...]
So, why are we having a job summit now? What about having a job summit way back during the unconstitutional porkulus Bill? What about that? And, when does the fedeal government EVER create a job?
[...] I should. But I can’t. And that’s because this jobs summit seems an unusually pointless and cynical waste of time.
Obamanomics — the White House’s jumble of industrial policy, massive deficit spending and tax hikes — isn’t working.
There are now 15.7 million Americans without jobs. And a big White House conference on jobs is nothing more than a soft distraction from those hard facts.
Now, I’ve never been to a White House summit, so I can’t say exactly what will happen on Thursday. But as a past Davos World Economic Forum participant, I’m pretty familiar with these kinds of VIP schmooze and snoozefests. [END]
Jobs summit. What a crock of crap.
Obama's Job Summit Denies Dissent and Denies Job Creation
Critics not invited to White House 'jobs summit'
Facing rising unemployment rates and having seen uncertain results from the stimulus bill, President Obama is hosting a "jobs summit" at the White House Thursday that will be packed with business leaders and economists supportive of White House policies but lacks a diversity of opinion, several analysts say.
Missing from a partial list of attendees released by the White House are the self-proclaimed voices of business - the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business - both of which have been critical of Mr. Obama's proposed health care overhaul. [...]
Obama: Job creation not goal of Dec. 3 jobs forum
President Barack Obama says creating jobs isn't the goal of a coming White House forum on jobs and economic growth.
The president told NBC News on Wednesday that the purpose of the Dec. 3 summit is to figure out how to encourage hiring by businesses still reluctant to do so. [...]
Jobs summit. What a crock of crap. Having a job summit meeting is such a waste of time seeing that the federal government never, ever creates jobs. Private businesses create jobs and because of ObamaCare, there are no jobs to get.
Obama’s Economy: Stop the Madness
It would be GREAT if we could stop the madness but what happened during the last elections? Theoretical idiot conservatives stayed home just to see what happened and look at the country now. Good job, morons.
The Democrats’ disconnect with kitchen table issues and the reality faced by families, workers, and small businesses is growing more evident by the minute. The reckless agenda being pushed by Speaker Pelosi, President Obama, and many Democrats on Capitol Hill is not helping struggling Americans and small business job creators – but it is hurting our country. Their agenda continues to expand the reach of government, increase the deficit to alarming levels, and require even more money from foreign countries. On everything from spending to cap-and-trade to card check, jobs and fiscal responsibility have taken a back seat. [...]
And Obama wants a jobs summit. Obama. ASSHAT! Good job Mr and Mrs Electorate.

What They Won’t Talk About at the White House Jobs Summit
So the President holds a jobs summit, but doesn’t invite the biggest actual producers of jobs — instead stacking the deck with people who believe there just hasn’t been enough government reallocation of taxpayer money. [...]
Michelle Malkin: Dog-and-crony show: Another White House summit distraction
And so the perpetual campaign drones on with today’s White House “jobs summit.”
Jobs for whom?
- Jobs for left-wing special interests. With the Democrat majority clamoring for a government infrastructure-centered Stimulus II, public-section unions are salivating.
– Jobs for the deep-pocketed and the well-connected: [...]
USA Today: Mr. President, here's how to lift our economy
Today's White House jobs summit comes too late for millions of Americans who through no fault of their own have lost their jobs, their homes, their savings and, in many cases, the self-esteem and self-respect that come from work. [...]
