Did Obama Lie?
Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:09AM
Did Obama lie, again? Well, the first clue is this: his lips were moving. By the way, never has a person living in the once White House, now the Marxist House, fallen from Grace so far and so fast in such little time as Obama has. I find it highly curious that when GWB's approval ratings were referred to, they ALWAYS mentioned that he was at such and such a level now but has fallen from such and such level. However, Obama's approval rating isn't the topic of this article. It's about the Fairness (Fearness) Doctrine.
I wonder how those Fair Weather Conservatives feel now that they have shown their true colors? Wasn't it they that said the Fearness Doctrine would never rear its ugly head?
Sen Jim DeMint forced the Democrats to commit either way and they did in a big way.
Yesterday, I wrote a piece oin this pointing out that the FCC would become the Democrat Back Door to violate the United States Constitution and they did just that. My article is entitled, "Liberal Radio Host Ed Schultz Proves Our Point - Accidentally". In that article you will find references to others dating back to 2007.
From Michelle Malkin's place:
From Sen. Jim DeMint’s office:
Today, at 2pm, the Senate will vote on two amendments with respect to the Fairness Doctrine.
- The DeMint amendment (Broadcaster Freedom Act) would ban the Fairness Doctrine.
- The amendment by Senator Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) would achieve the same goals of the Fairness Doctrine through backdoor FCC regulations. His legislation forces the FCC to “take actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership,” an attempt to dismantle successful syndicated radio programs. The Durbin amendment would hurt small, local radio stations who depend on popular syndicated programming for listeners and revenue.
Here’s an article that seems to get at what Durbin’s amendment is about.
Senator DeMint will encourage all senators to OPPOSE the Durbin Amendment.
The Duct Tape Brigade is out there in full force.
Eternal vigilance is required.

Update 1:30pm Eastern. The DeMint amendment passes 87-11, but as Sen. DeMint Tweets: "Our ban on Fairness Doctrine passes 87-11. But fight not over, Dems have attacked from back door on media ownership, localism."
More from The Hill.
Durbin’s measure passed 57-41.
The Fairness Doctrine is here and Congress won't be blamed nor will Obama. It is called Plausible Deniability. So, there can be no direct "lie" pinned on Obama on this one but, we all know how that game is played. Either way, it is a direct violation of the United States Constitution. Wake Up People.
