Fairness Doctrine. Localism. And now? Radio Accountability. Good grief.
The other day, the liberal talk radio show dedicated to The Czar tanked, crashed and burned. Jammie Wearing Fool and Hot Air carried the blogosphere on this the other day and their source was the Washington Compost.
How coincidental is it that now we are hearing about radio accountability? Are they angry because NO ONE wants to listen to the libtard whine and pass their lies off as Truth? Just wondering.
[...] President Obama may be riding high in Washington, but OBAMA 1260 is not.
The area’s only progressive talk station is changing formats, dropping such syndicated liberal hosts as Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller and Bill Press in favor of financial news, starting next week.
The move by Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who purchased the station, WWRC, and others in Washington last summer, leaves the city without a liberal radio outlet. Program Director Greg Tantum says he thought the station could work because of enthusiasm over Obama, but that ratings collapsed to a level that could not be measured after the election.
But ratings nearly doubled, he says, at Snyder’s conservative station, WTNT, which features Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett. [...]
And therein lies the rub. Those darn Conservative stations are going like gang busters and they just cannot have that. Rush Limbaugh is #1 and that is why the libtards go after him as they do. Truth does to them like fingernails on a chalkboard.
In part, here is how the conversation went with the dweeb known as Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
BILL PRESS: Yeah, I mean, look: They have a right to say that. They’ve got a right to express that. But, they should not be the only voices heard. So, is it time to bring back the Fairness Doctrine?
SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I think it’s absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it’s called the Fairness Standard, whether it’s called something else — I absolutely think it’s time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place.
BILL PRESS: Can we count on you to push for some hearings in the United States Senate this year, to bring these owners in and hold them accountable?
SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I have already had some discussions with colleagues and, you know, I feel like that’s gonna happen. Yep.
Screw you, you Marxist beotch! No. Wait. I don't want to catch an STD (Skanky Twit Dolt). How's this GOMER? NO ONE - OBVIOUSLY - WANTS TO LISTEN TO LIBTARD BRAVO SIERRA! GOT IT? GOOD!
You cannot force people to listen to libtard loonacy. That is why libtard radio ALWAYS tanks. It cannot be controlled like TV and Hollyweird. Get it? GOOD!
The only way that libtards succeed is some stations are "forced" to hire them on. And then when the show has NEGATIVE ratings, they tank and vanish. And, rightfully so.
Ace (DrewM) says:
[...] And if conservative talk radio 'overwhelms people's opinions' (as Stabenow says), how exactly did the Democrats manage to take control of the Executive and Legislative branches of government?
Somebody should write a book about this kind of illiberal thinking. Maybe they could call is "Liberal Fascism" or something like that.
Coming soon: Ace of Spades Underground Blog from the reeducation camp! See you there.
And there is the catch. Stabenow is married to a LIBERAL talk radio executive. Imagine that?
No "special interest" there, eh?
Duane has more details on The Stabenow connection to libtard radio.
