I am going to take some liberties in the name of Free Speech, Truth, Justice and the America Way while I rewrite an article written by Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel with the McClatchy Newspapers. The article was written on Thursday May 21, 7:10 pm ET. These pathetic lightweights are obvious Obama Drones ala The Borg. And, for your entertainment, I have two audio clips that describe the Obama Goons in the Obamedia. The first one is from my friend Joshua P Allem. The second clip is one I made. Enjoy
Now, down to business. The original article can be found here. The original title of the article is, "Cheney's speech contained omissions, misstatements". I haven't renamed the article yet because it would be too lengthy. Suffice it to say that the authors of the piece are indeed Obama Drones and if it were possible to isolate the Honesty Gene, one would not be found in either author.
TEXAS — Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel with the McClatchy Newspapers' vitriolic attack Thursday on VP Cheney's clarifications of the Bush administration's policies for interrogating suspected terrorists contained omissions, exaggerations and misstatements.
They wrote about former VP Dick Cheney's address to the American Enterprise Institute , a conservative policy organization in Washington, and they failed to mention that their boy Obama hastily scheduled his speech to be delivered before Cheney's. They stated that Cheney said that the techniques the Bush administration approved, including waterboarding and then stated the "simulated drowning that's considered a form of torture" mantra and then failed to qualify that and so state who exactly considers waterboarding as torture. Further, the Obama Drones stated by inference that forced nakedness and sleep deprivation, were "illegal" by placing their term legal within quotations. They also pretty much complained that the information retrieved during the legal processes of enhanced interrogation techniques which produced information that prevented the violent death of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of innocent people was a bad thing.
Whereas the Director of National Intelligence, Adm. Dennis Blair did in fact state that the information obtained with the EITs gave U.S. officials a "deeper understanding of the al Qaida organization that was attacking this country", the authors would have us think otherwise.
The authors refer to a statement made on April 21 where Blair said the information "was valuable in some instances" but that "there is no way of knowing whether the same information could have been obtained through other means. The bottom line is that these techniques hurt our image around the world, the damage they have done to our interests far outweighed whatever benefit they gave us and they are not essential to our national security." Seeing that Obama Drones find it next to impossible to substantiate anything, I have confirmed that Blair did in fact say that which was quoted above.
Hind sight is 20-15 at times and I find it interesting that the Obama Drones put more credence in what the world thinks of the United States than they do protecting their own skin seeing that the terrorists will kill the Obama Drones off first because of the very belief systems they have. They want everything both ways and in this current war, that desire is suicidal on a personal and national level. I suppose we should have went ahead and allowed Al Qaeda to destroy the financial sector in LA all those years ago so we could have the world like us.
Whereas a top-secret 2004 CIA inspector general's investigation found no conclusive proof that information gained from aggressive interrogations helped thwart any "specific imminent attacks," according to one of four top-secret Bush-era memos that the Justice Department released last month, neither does it say that it had no conclusive proof either way. And, what of the other three that the Obama Drones conveniently neglected to quote from? One of of four memos was quoted and the other three were ignored. Why?
Whereas the FBI Director Mueller Robert Muller told Vanity Fair magazine in December that he didn't think that the techniques disrupted any attacks, Americans should never seek counsel or take advice from anyoine that cannot be more direct and to the point. We should never base our responses to threats in the world by anyone that says things like "I don't think this or that" after the fact. We should always demand to know what they know in the here and now and not look back years later and second-guess themselves for a caviat here and there for political gain which is exactly what this alleged debate is all about.
Consider this as we expose the Obama Drones Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel. They quoted one memo that sort of advanced the average socialists dream sheets and then quoted from a source from last December and have completely ignored four recent CIA Directors that eviscerate their assertions. Why?
Cheney did say "that President Barack Obama's decision to release the four top-secret Bush administration memos on the interrogation techniques was "flatly contrary" to U.S. national security, and would help al Qaida train terrorists in how to resist U.S. interrogations." And, I agree. It was a political stunt which, by the way, backfired.
And, Blair's statements to the contrary reveal the libtard's enigma - the need for people to like them at the expense of the lives of American citizens. It is much more important to these Obama Drones, no matter their position high or low, that their political or media careers are elevated on a pedestal of self-aggrandizement that the only thing that matters is how they "feel". Blair did say that he "strongly supported" Obama's decision to prohibit using the controversial methods and that "we do not need these techniques to keep America safe", which reveals another conundrum. The Obama Drones, no matter who they are never, ever offer up any alternative other than to say such inanity as "we can do it better". They never explain what that "better way" is.
In the usual and typical manner of the anti-Americanists in the Obamedia, they always use the tactic like "Cheney said that the Bush administration 'moved decisively against the terrorists in their hideouts and their sanctuaries, and committed to using every asset to take down their networks'" and then follow that up with the other usual and typical lunacy like, "The former vice president didn't point out that Osama bin Laden and his chief lieutenant, Ayman al Zawahri , remain at large nearly eight years after 9-11 and that the Bush administration began diverting U.S. forces, intelligence assets, time and money to planning an invasion of Iraq before it finished the war in Afghanistan against al Qaida and the Taliban", like that means something.
No one knows if Usama is alive or not and it really doesn't matter. And the other murdering thug is hiding in Pakistan the ally of the USA that Obama said he was going to bomb into submission. The Obama Drones also fail to state that Afghanistan is now a NATO run operation so any criticisms that don't take that into consideration are purposefully omitting facts at hand, making misstatements which result in half-truths which are lies. They also fail to mention the Iraq War Resolution which was overwhelmingly supported by the very Democrats that are whining about that which they once supported before elections got in the way of their Patriotism.
The Obama Drones stated: "there are now 49,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan fighting to contain the bloodiest surge in Taliban violence since the 2001 U.S.-led intervention, and Islamic extremists also have launched their most concerted attack yet on neighboring, nuclear-armed Pakistan". Again, half-truths resulting in an innuendo based in zero facts causing their assertion to be a purposeful misstatement. The interesting item to keep in mind is this. Your basic Obama Drone will accuse others of exactly what they themselves perpetrate upon the American people and themselves. What the Obama Drones did in this instance is purposefully omit the thousands of coalition Troops also fighting in Afghanistan. Disingenuous? You bet? Misleading? You bet. Do they care? No, they don't. The Obama Drones have an agenda to promote and facts get in their way.
As the Obama Drones stated about Cheney's speech: "Cheney denied that there was any connection between the Bush administration's interrogation policies and the abuse of detainee at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison, which he blamed on "a few sadistic guards . . . in violation of American law, military regulations and simple decency" and, "however, a bipartisan Senate Armed Services Committee report in December traced the abuses at Abu Ghraib to the approval of the techniques by senior Bush administration officials, including former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld." I remember that report and the Obama Drones also failed to tell the whole Truth about that "report". There was nothing bipartisan about it seeing that every single one was either a socialist democrat or a democrat in drag (RINO) on the committee and the agenda was BASH BUSH because their hatred of President Bush overshadowed National Security. And, to the Obama Drone, the only thing that matters is keeping Truth silenced.
Everyone knows that there is no connection between Abu Ghraib and the EITs. personally, I didn't see anything wrong with what happened at Abu. Al is fair in love and war and humiliating a murdering POS Jihadi terrorist is the least of my worries. I don't care what the world thinks of the United States. Besides, if the entire world hates America, why then are millions trying to get here still? The whole "the world hates America" thing is a well orchestrated fraud.
The Obama Drones, Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel state: "The abuse of detainees in U.S. custody cannot simply be attributed to the actions of 'a few bad apples' acting on their own," said the report issued by Sens. Carl Levin , D- Mich. , and John McCain , R- Ariz. "The fact is that senior officials in the United States government solicited information on how to use aggressive techniques, redefined the law to create the appearance of their legality and authorized their use against detainees"" is proof positive of my previous explanation of the members of the committee - Levin and McCain.
Whereas Cheney said that "only detainees of the highest intelligence value" were subjected to the harsh interrogation techniques, and he cited Khalid Sheikh Mohammad , the alleged mastermind of the 9-11 attacks", the Drones go on to infer an alleged omission: "He didn't mention Abu Zubaydah, the first senior al Qaida operative to be captured after 9-11. Former FBI special agent Ali Soufan told a Senate subcommittee last week that his interrogation of Zubaydah using traditional methods elicited crucial information, including Mohammed's alleged role in 9-11." He didn't need to. Everyone knows the story on that one. The fact remains, no torture was used and the bleeding hearts would "Rather" protect a murdering Jihadi scum and approve of killing the unborn - all for political gain or career building.
The Drones went on: "the decision to use the harsh interrogation methods "was one of the worst and most harmful decisions made in our efforts against al Qaida ," Soufan said. Former State Department official Philip Zelikow , who in 2005 was then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's point man in an internal fight to overhaul the Bush administration's detention policies, joined Soufan in his criticism." And? So what? A socialist hack whose heart bleeds for the enemy is to elevated over those that say the opposite? Please, make it stop. Obama Drones are nothing more than party hacks trying to make a name for themselves and are to be discounted and looked upon in disdain.
And, here's the CLASSIC libtard Obama Drone lunacy: Take note of absolutely no substantiation whatsoever: "Cheney said that "the key to any strategy is accurate intelligence," but the Bush administration ignored warnings from experts in the CIA , the Defense Intelligence Agency , the State Department , the Department of Energy and other agencies, and used false or exaggerated intelligence supplied by Iraqi exile groups and others to help make its case for the 2003 invasion." And, SHAZAAM! The Bush Derangement Syndrome rises to the surface. False or exaggerated intelligence? Substantiation? Omitted. Misstatements? Plenty galore. Lies? That's all an Obama Drone can do is lie. Telling a half-truth equates to a lie. The whole Truth is truth. Anything but the Truth is a lie, plain and simple.
Here is another typical libtard Obama Drone vomitorial: "Cheney made no mention of al Qaida operative Ali Mohamed al Fakheri , who's known as Ibn Sheikh al Libi , whom the Bush administration secretly turned over to Egypt for interrogation in January 2002. While allegedly being tortured by Egyptian authorities, Libi provided false information about Iraq's links with al Qaida , which the Bush administration used despite doubts expressed by the DIA." Substantiation? Ommitted. I like the allegedly tortured thing which brought about not allegedly false information but false information. Again, they want their cake and eat it too. Misstatements? You betcha. That's all they have because they have no facts. Just emotionally contrived and derived mental enigmas...BDS to the extreme.
"A state-run Libyan newspaper said Libi committed suicide recently in a Libyan jail." And we are supposed to give a damn about some Jihadi scum? Not hardly.
More Drone whining: "Cheney accused Obama of "the selective release" of documents on Bush administration detainee policies, charging that Obama withheld records that Cheney claimed prove that information gained from the harsh interrogation methods prevented terrorist attacks. "I've formally asked that (the information) be declassified so the American people can see the intelligence we obtained," Cheney said. "Last week, that request was formally rejected. However, the decision to withhold the documents was announced by the CIA, which said that it was obliged to do so by a 2003 executive order issued by former President George W. Bush prohibiting the release of materials that are the subject of lawsuits." I call bravo sierra.
The CODIC, Chief Obama Drone In Charge, has the ability to declassify anything he so chooses by the same EO the libtards just referenced. All of a sudden, National Security matters because the memos Cheney wants released will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the Obama Drones and the #1 Obama Drone are political hacks and could care less about "torturing" a Jihadi scum sucking bastard. What they also fail to reveal is that Obama has in fact taken upon himself using the very EITs "in case he needs to". What's the difference? I guess the libtards can do that better as well.
NOTE to the Obama Drones: your beloved Marxist Obama is the Bush III you all worried about in McCain. Morons.
I especially "like" this one: "Cheney said that only "ruthless enemies of this country" were detained by U.S. operatives overseas and taken to secret U.S. prisons. A 2008 McClatchy investigation, however, found that the vast majority of Guantanamo detainees captured in 2001 and 2002 in Afghanistan and Pakistan were innocent citizens or low-level fighters of little intelligence value who were turned over to American officials for money or because of personal or political rivalries." Oh yeah. A McClatchy investigation. That is about as credible as Charles Manson is. Once again, no references to follow up on and no substantiation whatsoever. And, by the way, Club Gitmo is not a "secret prison". These Obama Drones crack me up.
Here is another Obama Drone, er, uh, half-truth: "In addition, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Oct. 5, 2005, that the Bush administration had admitted to her that it had mistakenly abducted a German citizen, Khaled Masri , from Macedonia in January 2004. Masri reportedly was flown to a secret prison in Afghanistan, where he allegedly was abused while being interrogated. He was released in May 2004 and dumped on a remote road in Albania. In January 2007 , the German government issued arrest warrants for 13 alleged CIA operatives on charges of kidnapping Masri." Yes, the admission was made and he was allegedly "mistreated", whatever that means but what the Drones leave out is that he was allegedly dumped out on a remote road. They make the assertion that his dumping is a fact and they have no proof of that. Yes, the warrants were issued but, so what? Bad things happen in war and helping the enemy is one of them, Obama Drones. By the way, the warrants were withdrawn I do believe. In addition, the Obama Drones just might want to read the real story. Just sayin'.
Obama Drone Gitmo Derangement Syndrome (GDS): "Cheney slammed Obama's decision to close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp and criticized his effort to persuade other countries to accept some of the detainees. The effort to shut down the facility, however, began during Bush's second term, promoted by Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates. "One of the things that would help a lot is, in the discussions that we have with the states of which they (detainees) are nationals, if we could get some of those countries to take them back," Rice said in a Dec. 12, 2007 , interview with the British Broadcasting Corp. "So we need help in closing Guantanamo." What the Drones omit on purpose is no other nation wants them. They also omit that Club Gitmo will remain open because the Senate says so by a 90 to 6 vote.
The final Drone BDS topic: "Cheney said that, in assessing the security environment after 9-11, the Bush team had to take into account "dictators like Saddam Hussein with known ties to Mideast terrorists." Cheney didn't explicitly repeat the contention he made repeatedly in office: that Saddam cooperated with al Qaida , a linkage that U.S. intelligence officials and numerous official inquiries have rebutted repeatedly. The late Iraqi dictator's association with terrorists vacillated and was mostly aimed at quashing opponents and critics at home and abroad. The last State Department report on international terrorism to be released before 9-11 said that Saddam's regime "has not attempted an anti-Western terrorist attack since its failed plot to assassinate former President ( George H.W.) Bush in 1993 in Kuwait." A Pentagon study released last year, based on a review of 600,000 Iraqi documents captured after the U.S.-led invasion, concluded that while Saddam supported militant Palestinian groups — the late terrorist Abu Nidal found refuge in Baghdad , at least until Saddam had him killed — the Iraqi security services had no "direct operational link" with al Qaida."
The above "final Drone BDS topic" and be eviscerated here, "Vindication: Iraq's Saddam and Al Qaeda Links Revealed". Also, here, "History Will Vindicate President Bush". Also, the book Both In One Trench is a must read for the Obama Drone that seems to ignore Truth and Facts as expressed by the two Obama Drones, Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel with the McClatchy Newspapers. Boneheaded stupidity would be a moniker too kind for these media thugs, dishonest journalistic cretins and participants in media malfeasance.
The real issue is this: VP Dick Cheney thumped Obama and took him out behind the woodshed. End of discussion.
The other issue is this: the democrats in drag within the State Department, the Pentagon and the Republican Party have been exposed and more will be exposed as we ferret them out of their spider holes and this terrifies the libtards. Happy Hunting Patriots.
