When the FIC, Fraud In Chief, gave his little childish and impish-smile teleprompted tirade on LAWFUL business practices, I merely set the issue aside for mental health care reasons...I ran out of duct tape and I was afraid my IQ points would leak out.
This is what caused a mental flutter:
The Treasury Department and the IRS, under Secretary Geithner’s leadership and Commissioner Shulman’s, are already taking far-reaching steps to catch overseas tax cheats — but they need more support. … These problems have been highlighted by Chairmen Charlie Rangel and Max Baucus, by leaders like Senator Carl Levin and Congressman Lloyd Doggett.
WHAT? Setting aside for the moment that he is attacking and "going after" LEGAL business dealings for self-preservation, does he truly believe that his hound dogs actually have the credibility to go after alleged tax cheats? What if he started with his own Cabinet members first? Wouldn't that give him, at least, some credibility instead of sending KNOWN tax cheats and campaign fund frauds after people that are operating within the law?
And, he pretty much such that the host Nations were aiding and abetting criminals. What message is that sending to host nations that are at this moment giving tax breaks for businesses to INCREASE tax revenue? Here is the answer to that question...they ain't happy about it. Except for Spain, most of Europe is doing the exact opposite Czarbie and Clan are in the process of doing. I thought that the libtards wanted to be like Europe. What happened?
Obama said that companies were manipulating the laws. Setting aside for a moment that he is doing that very same thing in his quest of a United Socialist States of America country, that "manipulation" he is whining about, at one time, before the MIC (Marxist in Charge), was called following the rules. Since when is following the rules, ie laws on the books, a manipulative entity?
Like ED Morissey noted, Obama seems to think he has the A-Team on the job. I got a good chuckle out of that one. A-Team? He might want to consult his Special Olympics Team manager on that one.
[...] Obama makes it sound like he put the A-Team on the job, but only if It Takes A Thief to catch a “tax cheat.” Tim Geithner’s nomination almost got derailed — and should have been derailed — after it got revealed that the man who now runs the IRS skipped paying tens of thousands of dollars in taxes he owed, and for which he’d been reimbursed by his employer. Charles Rangel not only has tax problems, but also campaign-finance violations for which a House Ethics Investigation may yet be initiated. [...]
Pelosi stonewalled that Rangel investigation in the hopes, in my opinion, that the issue will just be forgoten about. I wonder if Charles has some pictures of Nancy and Reid in a compromising situation. Just wondering out loud - I have nothing to substantiate that at all but, it sure is odd that it has been almost a year for this investigation to take place.
Hell. They passed the unconstitutional Rape, Pillage and Rob Generations of Americans Bill in record time and all we need is an investigation of Rangel. Was gibst?
Here are some more folks that were talking about this the other day. Sometimes, I need a few days to cool off or that Grunt Speak spews through, unabated.
Mike's America writes at Flopping Aces: Obama Lectures on Paying Taxes, and then asks, "what's wrong with this picture?" I am sending him the bill for the spewed coffee. Irony of ironies, I say.
Rezident Barack Obama speaks about tax reform at the White House
in Washington May 4, 2009. Flanking Obama are Treasury Secretary
Tim Geithner (L) and IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman (R).
And, we cannot forget this one at all:
OBAMA: Let’s begin with a simple premise: Nobody likes paying taxes, particularly in times of economic stress. But most Americans meet their responsibilities because they understand that it’s an obligation of citizenship, necessary to pay the costs of our common defense and our mutual well-being.
And yet, even as most American citizens and businesses meet these responsibilities, there are others who are shirking theirs. And many are aided and abetted by a broken tax system, written by well-connected lobbyists on behalf of well-heeled interests and individuals. It’s a tax code full of corporate loopholes that makes it perfectly legal for companies to avoid paying their fair share. It’s a tax code that makes it all too easy for a number — a small number of individuals and companies to abuse overseas tax havens to avoid paying any taxes at all. And it’s a tax code that says you should pay lower taxes if you create a job in Bangalore, India, than if you create one in Buffalo, New York.
Remember Dr Smith from Lost In Space? "The pain! The Pain!" Obama has something wrong with his ethics pills. How dare he lecture LAWFUL practices when he has surrounded himself with tax cheats all over the place! WTF? In the picture shown above, he is READING his lines. What a fraud bastard he is.
From Gatewat Pundit: Obama Pushes $190 Billion Tax Increase on US Companies
This is priceless... Obama wants tax cheat Geithner to root out the tax dodgers.
We live in upside down land.
Another from Gateway Pundit: Bummer. Claire "ACORN" McCaskill Caught In Obama's Tax Hike Scheme
The good news for big spending democrats is that Barack Obama proposed to raise taxes by $190 billion on businesses yesterday. The bad news for big spending democrat Claire "ACORN" McCaskill is that she is one of the tax dodgers who will have to pay. Missouri GOP reported: go read it...it's poetic justice.
Damn. He shoots himself in the foot again. Notice the sarcasm above?
Ed Morrissey: Obama tax-loophole plan panned by business
Barack Obama announced a plan to recover more than $200 billion a year by closing tax “loopholes” for American businesses that do business overseas. The loophole in this case mainly consists of closing out preferential tax treatment of income derived from foreign subsidiaries, which helps America compete abroad. Bringing those revenues under the domestic tax rate would not necessarily raise revenues, businesses warn, but create a flight of multinationals out of the US: [...]
[...] Unfortunately, Obama’s stuck. In the middle of a deep recession, Obama has proposed massive new government spending while revenues drop dramatically. The predicted $1.85 trillion budget for this year is a massive fantasy, and the rosy economic predictions for this year and next make the next few years’ deficit predictions seem even more ridiculous. [...]
Apparently, LOSING businesses is a good thing. Obama the Putz...OTP, a new Snooperism. And, insulting Ireland, the Netherlands, and Bermuda and saying that they are "tax havens" isn't setting very well with our allies. Perhaps Obama is sending out the poli-speak word that our allies are no longer our allies? The Dutch are more than incensed.
Michelle Malkin: Another snort-inducer: Obama to crack down on tax cheats
This just in from Gateway Pundit: It's Come to This... Tax Cheat Geithner Announces Plan to Crack Down On Those Who Evade Tax Rules (Video)
"When you took office you promised to reform our tax code so that it would be more simple and more fair for hardworking Americans. And, you promised to ensure that our tax dollars were used to strengthen the American economy and American competitiveness. Today we are taking another important step to towards those goals by ending indefensible tax breaks and loopholes which allow some companies and some well off citzens to evade the rules that the rest of America lives by." [...]
He isn't reforming the tax code at all. It is still nearly 80,000 pages thick and NOBODY knows what the hell it says. Check this video out. It is 10 minutes long and the first 30 sceonds sets the stage for the rest of the crap
