The Story Behind Our National Anthem
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 6:29AM Many of us have heard how Sir Francis Scott Key was inspired to pen The Star Spangled Banner but, we haven't been told the entire story. It's called revisionist history. Below is an audio clip which was sent to me via email and I play this many times on my show. I will provide the download link for other show hosts who would like to have the audio to air on their shows.
The story behind the story will cause cranial fissures in the skulls of the anti-Americanists across this great country we call America. Good. The fewer of them around the better.

Hi Mark
Over at American Power you wrote "I have been to every Pro-Troop rally in DC since I got back in 2004."
Can you send me an email when you have a minute? I live in the DC area too and have been to many of these rallies. I'd like to speak with you about Walter Reed.
God bless America on this Flag Day 2009
AMEN!!
Dadgum you, behave yourself. If you have to give up fast cars, cigars and deepfried cheesesticks you'll get used to it.
take care 'bro
There were 19 British ships not hundreds. While the bombardment was long,it was also from long range. The fort suffered only light damage. There were four American deaths and 24 wounded. Washington never said what he was quoted as saying. The SSB is indeed an inspiring anthum and it's history need not be exggerated with BS.
Sorry Mike. Substantiate your story. I've checked the story and it is true.
