Lockerbie Terror: Terrorist Set Free For "compassion"

Interesting. A man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing over Scotland was released today to return home to Libya due to a cancer...a terminal cancer - advanced prostate cancer. And? A convicted terrorist was released and the family members of the men and women on that flight are thrown to the winds? A convicted terrorist (says he is still innocent) has received compassionate removal from prison to return home to die while family members seek refuse in his "going home to die"? I am NOT believeing this. Innocent men and women, mostly Americans, were murdered on that flight. And this slug - this punk bastard - gets time off to go home to die? Let the fool die in prison!

It took more than a decade to get Abdel Baset al-Megrahi to trial in Scotland to face charges of mass murder in the bombing of a Pan Am jet that killed 259 people in the air and 11 people on the ground in Lockerbie. Convicted of the murders, Megrahi got sentenced to life imprisonment, but as it turns out, Megrahi will serve less than 12 days for each murder. Scotland has agreed to release Megrahi on “compassionate” grounds: [...]
Incredible. Hillary left a "special" message to go along with the ruckus:
"Today, we remember those whose lives were lost on December 21, 1988, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families who live each day with the loss of their loved ones due to this heinous crime," Clinton said.
The lives were not lost, meathead. They were MURDERED. Moron. The men and women were MURDERED.

270 innocent people never got to go home and see their friends and families before THEY died--so why does this asshole rate?! He should have died in the womb.

I can only think of what Ronald Reagan would have done. This President has become a laughing stock as far as how countries view us. They may like him, agree with him as far as being embarassed about the U.S.A., may accept his apologies that he makes for our nation... but they are laughing at him and our entire foreign relations team and will, and have taken advantage of such a naive idealogue being in charge of a country that could actually vaporize our enemies if we wished to do so... including Russia. He's taking us into the same weak position that eventually will result in the death of soldiers and citizens that Jimmy Carter did. I know I'm only a taxpaying citizen that doesn't get daily briefings and poll results but... START PROTECTING OUR CITiZENS AND OUR COUNTRY AND STOP TRYING TO BE EVERYONE'S FRIEND... because countries don't interact as human beings, they interact like adversarial animals. The few countries that come close to actually being "friends" you have disrespected. Canada, the United Kingdom, and Austrailia are our allies and share our goals. The rest are opportunists that will use us when they can and betray us if it is in their best interests. Israel needs our help and is our best last hope if we really want to achieve world peace. They know how to survive in a cruel world and we should learn from them instead of pressuring and insulting them. There ARE evil regimes, dictators, religious nuts that control entire countries and entire populations whose goal is to destroy us and our way of life out there. The sooner we start behaving like that is the case the better off we will be.
