The Senate Committee that is theoretically opened up to public debate is not exactly open to debate UNLESS those in the debate are all for the Baucus Bill.

The CBO was asked about the monies iinvolved but they said they have the results but it isn't up for public debate.  WHY NOT?  I supose that Fox News will bar that all out for us sooner than later...maybe.  But, here's the Big Deal.

Senator Kyle was trying to make a point but he was rebuffed becaue he was just delaying.  Just delaying?  From the ABC Blog: Finance Fireworks - Cutting Benefits vs. a Govt. Takeover

Sen. Max Baucus, who chairs the Finance Committee, and is anxious to pass a bill on to the Senate floor as soon as possible so that Democrats can enact health reform this year, cut off Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz, the number two Republican in the Senate, accusing him of delaying and called for a vote on an amendment – one of more than 500 that have been offered to the bill - after 45 minutes of debate.

"I am not delaying. I am making an extremely important point," Kyl shot back.

"I don’t dispute that it is a good point, but it’s also delaying," said Baucus. [...]

What the hell is up with that?  I watched the video and every time Kyle tried to say anything, he was being called out for delaying.  I don't get it.  Screw Baucus AND his halving the seniors in this country HALF of their health care protections.  Did you hear that one?

Republican criticism has swelled since the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services launched a probe into Humana, at the request of Baucus, D-Mont., over a mailer Baucus claimed misled seniors about proposed changes to Medicare. 

Humana, one of the largest private carriers serving seniors under the Medicare Advantage program, focused its mailer on the potential for cuts to the service, which were being debated in the Finance Committee on Thursday.  [...]
