Ed Morrissey at Hot Air: Is today Military Dictatorship Day?

In case anyone thinks that one side of the political spectrum has a monopoly on paranoid ranters, we present today’s offering from Gore Vidal (Left) and John Perry (Right) on the coming American military dictatorship.  Both men agree that it’s a likelihood, and both men blame Barack Obama.  Let’s start with the Perry, warning in Newsmax that just because something has never happened before doesn’t mean we can’t predict that it won’t happen soon, or something (via Tom Maguire): [...]

[...] Vidal isn’t pining so much for a military dictatorship as warning about one, but otherwise it’s just as ludicrous.  The American military isn’t interested in conducting coups, and having dissolute pseudo-intellectuals blathering about them to the London press does the professionals in our military an extreme disservice.  It’s an insult to their honor, as well as ours.

Both men should be encouraged to take some time off and regain their senses, and should be roundly ignored until they do. [...]

And there you have it.  They could very well be a couple of kooks but when one takes into account the "Black Helicopter Republican" traits that Ed has so evenly placed on myself and others, one has to take a look at Obama and his nutty attitudes.

Ed is a moderate and no moderate wants to look at Obama with any kind of "out of the dem sphere of ops" for very long...they'll go nuts.

Do I think that Obama has any notions about using our military to bring about a military dictatorship here in the USA?  Not really...not by our military.  What I see is what is happening in Hardin, MT.  Theoretically there is the American Police Force moving in and taking over the Hardin Police Force.  The problem is that there IS no Hardin PD...just Sheriffs.  So, why is a PRIVATE security firm movong into the city brandishing Hardin PD on the vehicles?  Why?  We do not know what EXACTLY is going on there but we soon will.

Approximately 90% of our military is strictly against Obama and there won't be any military members moving to create an Obama Military Junta any time soon.  It's the little Hardin, MT incidents that will do it...not well and certainly not a full blown military dictatorship but certainly enough to create a beginning of one.

Obama may not be a Black Liberation Theology member (South American style) or a full-blown communist or a full-blown socialist or a full-blown member of social justice but he is the worst part of them all.  No one really knows what he is all about nor do we know for sure who his string pullers are but they certainly have no thoughts or ideas of following our Federal Republic.

Do they?
