So what difference does that make? Ever heard of the frauds and vote stealers of ACORN? Ever heard of Chicago politics? Ever heard of marxist-sociopaths? No laws are followed by any marxist-sociopath ever!
Davis, who officially jumped into the mayoral race last week, said Tuesday that President Obama’s former chief of staff is disqualified by a law requiring candidates to live in Chicago for at least a year before the election.
Emanuel was thought to be the early favorite in the race, but has been dogged by questions over his residency for the past week.
Emanuel opponents, led by the tenant who lives in the Chicago home owned by Emanuel, claim the former congressman doesn’t meet the residency requirement.
Tenant Rob Halpin has filed his own paperwork to run for mayor and is challenging the former congressman’s residency.
Emanuel’s campaign maintains that he never forfeited his Chicago residency and simply lived elsewhere temporarily while working as Obama’s chief of staff in Washington.
Meanwhile, another name may soon be added to the mix in the already circus-like mayor’s race — Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) is considering a bid, according to CNN.
A Burris spokesman told the network that the senator is considering a run, but that “he hasn’t made any decision yet.”
Monday was the filing deadline for candidates, and Burris supporters filed the necessary paperwork and signatures for the senator to get his name on the ballot.
Burris was appointed by disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) to fill the remainder of Obama’s Senate term after his presidential win in 2008, and would join a crowded field of Democratic hopefuls that includes Emanuel, Davis and former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun (D-Ill.).
