Arrogance: having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities; claiming for oneself
Effete: affected; overrefined and ineffectual; no longer capable of effective action
Futz: arumfartzen; fart around; informal; waste time; idle or busy oneself aimlessly
Overton Window: to be truly successful, the Mackinac Center should not focus on direct policy advocacy, but instead should focus on educating lawmakers and the public in an attempt to change the political climate.
ACORN: they are "changing their name" and won't be a "national organization" - believe that if you want to
Healthcare: healthcare is a State Issue and not a federal one - read the United States Constitution to figure that one out
It has been stated that the Overton Window cannot be moved to the "Left". That has always sounded odd to me. Anything can be moved to the Left just like anything can be moved to the "Right" or "Center". It just depends on what you call the Left, Right or Center. Doesn't it?
[...] Politicians are constrained by ideas, even if they have no interest in them personally. What they can accomplish, the legislation they can sponsor and support while still achieving political success (i.e. winning reelection or leaving the party strong for their successor), is framed by the set of ideas held by their constituents — the way people think. Politicians have the flexibility to make up their own minds, but negative consequences await the elected officeholder who strays too far. A politician’s success or failure stems from how well they understand and amplify the ideas and ideals held by those who elected them. [...]
No where in that above cited post is the United States Constitution mentioned but what is mentioned are the "ideas" that "politicians" feel. Feel? FEEL? Isn't that what libtards do? Feel? No substance. Just emotion. Constrained by "ideas". Sounds elementary fishy to me.
This will increase taxes for everyone - will pay for abortions - set up the time table for single payer - combines the worst of the worse of the Senate Bill and the House Bill into one Bill - Obama doesn't have a single word of his own in this Bill - no, I have not read the entire thing but I will (not before Thursday) - this "proposal" is a POS so far - this "proposal" cannot be reconciled with the United States Constitution - this "proposal" must be thrown out -
The video of this new "proposal" makes no sense to me but what does manke sense to me is ACORN and Obama's involvement that I have known about and have written about and have talked about on the radio for at least 5 years now. Obama has lied time and time and time again about ACORN and now, due to the chronology of marxist-sociopaths, the National ACORN is no longer National but State Wide under different names. This makes it hard to track and to place Obama's name with now. See how that works?
Michelle Malkin: CBO to White House: We can’t score your health care crap sandwich
[...] Long live transparency and the deliberative process! [end]
There isn't enough detail in the CBO to determine anything without further details being provided. Wonderful.
White House Promises to Ram Obamacare Through Congress Via Reconciliation Process - we'll talk more about this issue on another post!
All of the above is well dwarfed by Obama-ACORN connectoin, well versed asnd documented. I have the video below that is at Gateway Pundit, Atlas Shrugs and STACLU. I also have it on a recorder for a later date as soon as the Obamabots have this one removed from YouTube.
Pamela Geller calls it the Audacity of Lying
When can we ever believe Obama? When?
[...] Check this out from "Jihad Darrell"
Yesterday, Ranking Member Darrell Issa released a new report, "Follow the Money: ACORN, SEIU and their Political Allies" as a follow-up to a report on ACORN released July 23, 2009. The report includes new information gathered by committee investigators including over 50,000 pages of documents from ACORN offices in California and Oklahoma, from ACORN insiders in Missouri, Colorado, New York and Louisiana, and from Secretary of State offices and other election officials in nearly every state in the continental United States.
