So does this make Siberia Fourth World Citizens?
Insanity. Chainsaws and ammunition.
Workers dismantling defective ammunition with a chainsaw at a Siberian firing range sparked an explosion Monday that killed six people.
The blast near the town of Biisk in the Altai region was caused by a spark from the chainsaw, which was being used in violation of safety rules, RIA-Novosti reported.
The Investigative Committee said two of the dead were military officers, while the rest worked at Sibpribormash, a defense company that owned the ammunition, Interfax reported.
A company representative told Interfax that families of the civilian victims would be paid 600,000 rubles ($19,200) each.
Sibpribormash said the firing range belonged to the Interior Ministry, but the ministry said it did not own it anymore, RIA-Novosti reported. Investigators were unable to clarify the issue Monday.
