I have been busy. Well, "we" have been real busy.
This is a rambling, out of my mind post just for those that stop by.
On August 4th, my Mother had a series of strokes. I find out about it on the 11th of August. Pat Dollard and crew were out on the Arizona border which I was to meet them out there but I got an email, several calls and several DMs from my wife about my Mother so I spent the time waiting for the crew to get back to the digs and let them know what was happening. I told them and then left AZ for TX.
Cutting a very long story short and looking at the "records" at the homestead about 35 minutes north of us in Texas, we found out that my Dad was suffering from Alzheimer's, other words known as dementia. A letter was found written by my Mother some time in the spring of 2010 and it was addressed to one of her Aunts that I know has been dead for at least 10 years, and was complaining that Dad had Alzheimer's and it was pretty bad. Dementia. She had it as well. Her letter was never mailed. No wonder the house looks like it does.
My parents have always been clean freaks and their homes have always been spotless. Not now.
We have been spending quite a bit of time collecting the hundreds of boxes stored throughout the house most of which are from my sister which vanished about 20 years ago. Boxes were found with my sister's daughter name on the boxes from her childhood, now 20 years later. On a 12' trailer and my pick up truck, we have taken 4 loads to the dump and we aren't finished yet.
Yes, we have kept a few things that are worthy of saving and have memorabilia to at least myself but the rest is being thrown out. I would need an entire house just to store this crap.
My eldest son and his wife are gathering items that can be sold at an auction and have placed the ads and I do believe the date of the auction is in 4 weeks, I think. The daughter-in-law has extensive knowledge of these auctions so all of that is up to her. There are three bedroom suites, a huge dining room set up complete with 2 hutches and 2 kitchenware cabinets, jewelry and a three-keyboard Allen Organ that will be sold at the auction. The jewelry has been appraised and is worth a fortune and hopefully will sell because my parents need the money.
Years ago, about 25 years, I bought a plat of land with a three bedroom home with 2 full bathrooms and beautiful dining room and living room and placed the property in their name because they wanted a place to die in and was their own. Little did I know that about 20 years ago, they sold the property back to the woman I bought the place from. They didn't tell me. I found this out just last week. The property is a little over 600 acres and is now in the name of other than my surname. Great. My parents ran out of money and sold the property. Great.
At this moment in time, my parents owe a little over $30K and they get just under $2K per month from socialist security. At any rate...
With my parents now confined to a nursing home, we have been trying to get the house ready for a complete rehab and my parents both want to go home. They cannot. My Mother cannot walk on her own; she forgets to shower and/or bathe; she forgets to eat. My Mother cannot even talk except for when she has had some meds that calm her down. Two of her strokes were in the frontal lobe which has devastated her emotional will and she will attack anyone close to her, at times. Right now, she thinks that I am my youngest son and says that her son died about 50 years ago...I am now 55. Odd that.
My Dad? He is the reason that they are in the FOURTH nursing home because he "escapes" and cops have to go find him. At this moment, they are now in a facility where he cannot "escape" and he is driving my Mother crazy but she cannot live without him a round. In about 30 days, my Mother will be back at the original nursing home without Dad because the original place is the best place for her. My Dad? He will stay in the lock-up place.
My Dad thinks his car runs and I know it doesn't. It will take about $5K to get it running but I don't know who in their right mind would want to restore a 1990 Cadillac. The car runs on 4 cylinders and doesn't have a drop of oil in it. I asked him about that but he said oil was just another government attack and the car runs great without it. Wonderful. I was driving behind him back in August breathing in the horrendous smoke fumes and he cannot drive at all. I got the car back to my place, took his keys (when he wasn't looking) and replaced them with a set of one of his other Cadillacs, that he no longer has, but he is hoping that the cops will bring it back as soon as the insurance is taken care of - whatever in the hell that means. They totalled that car back in 1998.
Anyway, my parents are trashed and this is the FOURTH nursing home and hopefully a place where my Dad cannot escape. Neither of them know me now and this series of strokes has been happening for both of them for at least a year or more.
Several cops have come by the house helping as they can - it is a small place here - and one cop remembers that my Mother has been out in the street screaming for her dead cats to come back. It is a long story but the main issue is, the strokes that put my Mother in the hospital were the very last straws.
Perhaps the Trumpets will sound and they will get the new bodies the Scriptures so promise to all that believe.
My trip to Arizona will soon come. Life goes on. Perhaps by next weekend I will be in Arizona. I have about 4 more dump trips to make so the kids can auction off the rest. What they do not sell will be tossed out.

Dad "escaped" twice this past Sunday. The good thing is they aren't kicking him out. They just have to update their "locked in" capabilities.
He took a picnic table out in the courtyard, turned it upside down and against the fence and climber over. The second time he took a garden hose, threw it over a limb, made a loop and hoisted himself over the fence.
They are securing the table to the concrete and the hose is now vanished.
He was asleep tonight when we went to see them. Must be the drugs.
Soon I will be posting the pictures of what the house used to look like as opposed to the way it is now. These two people have been classified as the Professional and Organized Hoarders. We have taken care of that situation. 6 trips to the dump with a 12' trailer satcked about 6' tall and my pick up truck later and we now have at least 3 trips to go.
Well? Since my Dad's second escape and his return, he has maintained his presence at the nursing home, thank God.
We were called 2 days ago about my Mother AFTER the ambulance was called and they asked if Dad could go and we naturally said no and we also wondered WTF! Mother is on hospice care and she has severs heart problems with extremely low beats and excessive high beats.
My Mother is ready to be with her Maker because she is always talking to her dead sisters, brother and her Mother and Dad asking them to take her so the hospital call was not acceptable but hospice care called us and said the hospital will have to run through the traps anyway.
The next day we had Mother removed back to the nursing home and hospice came out and placed my Mother on 24-7 nursing care.
Today we were called to come see her because apparently she wasn't going to "make it". We arrived and 3 hours later she was wide awake and very pissed off. She was given something with a very long name and it calmed her down and when she was asleep, we all left.
It has been a hell of a week.
My Dad is very puzzled and bothered and is demanding to see a doctor. I told him several times that Mother has seen all the doctors and there is nothing anyone can do. The dementia is to far gone and the necrosis of the brain is getting worse by the day - no one can stop it accept God Himeself which we are in fact prayng for.
