No need for congressional authorization? Is that what the law so states? Like, don't worry about Libya?
I wrote about this earlier in the day: Senate has no plans to invoke War Powers Act over Libya. In that article, I placed the following:
[...] "The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to a declaration of war, a specific statutory authorization, or a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces," the law states. Did Libya attack the USA? Did it? When did Libya do this? Obama is an unconstitutional maroon.
I guess this is going to be true: Is Rezident Obama About to Break the Law? Amazing. And people wonder why I DO NOT adhere to unconstitutional laws...just like Obama is doing. Interesting. If President Bush had done this in a war that was APPROVED of by the Congress all hell would be breaking out.
Obama. Fucking moron.
So WHY do we have BOOTS ON THE GROUND THERE, SKIPPY?
