The country surrounds the city. That sounds ominous, does it not? I don’t remember where I heard this or if I even dreamed it up but, it is said to have been attributed to the murderous thug and alleged revolutionary Che “Guacamole” Guevara, the alleged hero of Latin America. Granted he was a revolutionary but his revolution was a communist inspired one and he did in fact go on a murdering rampage in the name of his “revolution”. So what did he mean, if he said it all, “the country surrounds the city”? It all sounds a little philosophical.
Without getting into what he may or may not have said and what it all means or meant, how can we apply that inference to today’s America? I can only surmise at this point that he may have been referring to the capital where the government lived and the city where the government seat was located is/was surrounded by the rest of the country. The implication is that the offending government was outnumbered by the citizens which lived not in the city but in the countryside. I suppose, metaphorically the same applies in this Nation America. Let’s play “what if” for a while.
What if all 50 States declared and regained their sovereignty? What if the individual citizens declared and regained their individual sovereignty? What if the current unconstitutional federal monstrosity now located in the very dishonorable halls of congress found itself powerless to seize total control of each and every State and each and every citizen? What if? What if the Oligarchy now situated as the federal head found itself isolated and abated? What if the Oligarchic opines of deceit, lies and treachery dispatched federal troops to put down the alleged uprising? What if the sovereign States responded in like terms, sentiments and action?
The country surrounds the city. What does it mean?
